A free online UKMS event paid for by VACUUMSCHMELZE GmbH highlighting their production of high performance magnetic materials, in particular for aviation motors.
Time: 14:00 UK
The aviation industry is experiencing one of its biggest technology shifts in decades. The trend for low-carbon impact short-distance commutes, air taxis and delivery drones offers an opportunity to move first into the space of hybrid and electric aerospace. A key component for your success are electric motors with highest energy density. Therefore, permanent magnet motors are often the engineers’ choice. However designing high-efficiency rare earth permanent magnet motors can be challenging.
The webinar will give guidance for R&D engineers and developers of electric drives on state-of-the-art magnetic materials for high temperature rare earth permanent magnet motors. Based on a case study we demonstrate how to optimize your electric motors and achieve power-to-weight ratios of 4.88 kW/kg or even higher in future developments. Learn how to simplify the complex task of combining soft and hard magnetic materials as well as how to source for projects with special demands on robust supply chains.
At VAC the world of magnetism is our home. We push technical boundaries with groundbreaking solutions and enable our customers to make their systems smaller, lighter, more efficient and, last but not least, safer.
The event will be online and free to attend. It should last about an hour.
All times are UK.

PROMO EVENTS
The first of a new form of advertising from the UK Magnetics Society, PROMO events like this one will be developed by the Society and the client organisation. While the content will come from a single organisation, the event will still deliver technically engaging and informative content. They will also be much shorter than normal, multi-organisation events, and be free to attend.
If your organisation is interested in organising a similar event, please contact astewart@ukmagsoc.org.
