I received my B.Sc. in Physics in 1974 and Ph.D. in Electrical Materials in 1978, both from Imperial College, London, U.K. and since then have worked in the Electrical Engineering Department at Imperial College London, initially researching fabrication methods and properties of compound semiconductor thin film transistors, their use in addressing flat panel displays and integrated drive circuits for displays. Subsequently I worked on the development of materials and methods for producing high resistance, low TCR materials for high value resistors in integrated circuits, and high dielectric constant materials for ICs. My current research interests include electromagnetic, thermal and mechanical energy harvesting systems and their associated electronic interfaces. At Imperial I teach semiconductor device physics and operation, analogue electronics and practical laboratory and project work,
